Background of the Study

Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards have revolutionized executive decision-making by offering a centralized platform to access, analyze, and visualize critical business data in real time. These dashboards provide actionable insights, enabling executives to make informed decisions, identify trends, and address operational inefficiencies. According to Adedayo et al. (2023), BI dashboards enhance decision-making by consolidating data from diverse sources into a user-friendly interface.

Corporate firms in Zamfara State operate in a dynamic and competitive business environment where access to accurate and timely information is paramount. The adoption of BI dashboards has the potential to transform how executives evaluate performance metrics, allocate resources, and devise strategic plans. However, the utilization of these tools is still limited in the region due to technical, financial, and organizational challenges (Muhammad & Yusuf, 2024).

Exploring the role of BI dashboards in executive decision-making within Zamfara State offers valuable insights into the effectiveness of data-driven strategies and identifies ways to address barriers to adoption.

Statement of the Problem

Despite the growing awareness of the importance of data-driven decision-making, many corporate firms in Zamfara State struggle to effectively implement and utilize BI dashboards. Challenges such as inadequate technical expertise, lack of data integration infrastructure, and resistance to change hinder the potential benefits of BI dashboards (Ahmed & Ibrahim, 2023). As a result, executives may rely on outdated or incomplete information, leading to suboptimal decisions and missed opportunities.

There is a paucity of research focusing on how BI dashboards specifically impact executive decision-making in Zamfara State. This study aims to address this gap by examining the adoption, utilization, and outcomes of BI dashboards in corporate firms within the region.
